God’s plan for His church is for everyone to be fully engaged in serving. We offer many opportunities to plug in and serve along with other committed believers while making a difference at FC Newburgh and our community. We’ve organized the opportunities by age group. Check them out below.

Newborn - Elementary
Serving in the Nursery, Preschool or Elementary Ministry is about nurturing young children and teaching them to have a heart for Jesus. We use stories, songs and activities to engage with your kids while providing a fun, safe atmosphere for them while you’re in class or worship. All of our volunteers undergo background checks.
Middle + High School
Our volunteers make each student feel welcome at each event by focusing on relationships, not tasks. We use Sunday nights are our time for Small Groups. The theme for the groups is to allow the students to live life together. The students are grouped by age and gender. The role of the leader is to lead, encourage, teach, and be a sounding board for the students. The curriculum we use is designed to last 30-45 minutes which allows the rest of the time to be spent enjoy fellowship, praying for one another, and discussing issues of their lives. These groups meet Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30.
New Friends + Donuts
Our connect teams lead interactions to connect people to their next step. These teams are made up of people who are relational, hospitable and want everyone who walks through the door on a Sunday morning feel like they just walked into their home. From parking lot, main doors, Next Step counter, donut/coffee and ushers, there are several opportunities to engage in. We have 4 teams that each work once a month for both our 9:15 classes and 10:30 service time. Nathan Logsdon works with our Connect Team.
Adult Class Leader or Women’s Bible Study Leader
Those interested will go through the leadership training process which includes training classes, shadowing, and co-leading. Time varies based on the class. All classes are determined each trimester. Holly Gillespie coordinates all the adult classes, Bible studies, and small groups.
Sound, Camera Operator, etc.
We get to have an active part in each service by providing tech support and helping to craft an environment where people can connect with God. Our volunteer positions include director, computer operator, lighting technician, camera operators and sound engineer. You can be a geek, but don’t have to as we provide all the training. Guy Hall is the tech/ARTS Director.
