Financial Peace University is a class that teaches you how to pay off debt, save money, build a legacy, and plan for your future. First Christian is seeking a Student Ministry Large Group Coordinator (grades 6-12). This position is responsible for overseeing Sunday night large group opportunities as well as special events. Requirements of this position include the ability to care for families; ensure direction and development for large group activities and lessons; and consistently recruit, and equip large group teachers through team strategy.  The coordinator will be self-motivated, possess strong organization and communication skills (both personal and large group speaking), and be able to coach/develop others. A Bible College degree is not required. This paid part-time position consists of 12-15 hours per week, with four of the hours required on Sunday mornings and four required on Sunday evenings with the additional hours throughout the week. One week of summer camp is preferred and an additional stipend will be paid.  Please submit a resume to Penny Kaluza (

Elementary Praise Team -- If your kids love to sing and love to praise God, encourage them to join our new praise team that will lead us in worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, 12-12:30pm, beginning Sept. 8th.  For more information, contact CASSIE ALLEN (Elementary Coordinator).

Student Ministry Sunday Morning Leaders Needed -We are looking for leaders for our Sunday Morning ministry for our High School students.  We meet at 9:15 am.  You will get the lesson plans at the beginning of the week so you can be prepared to lead our High School students. We have a great group of young people who are eager to grow in their faith. If you have any interest in learning more, please contact Lacey Poag.


Join us for Choir! - Do you enjoy singing?  Do you know anyone who should be singing on stage during our worship services?  Feel free to join us for practice on Sundays from 3-4:30pm in the Chapel.  You are welcome whether you've been in a choir before or not.  See you Sunday!

Earlier this year, we launched our 2019 generosity initiative: EXPLORE.
The purpose of this initiative is twofold:  1. To set aside seed money that will fund community ministry opportunities, and 2. To reduce the principal amount owed on our facility.

Noah's Ark Christian Pre-School -- for more information email the director, Karen Miller.

Noah's Ark Christian Preschool is looking for an Office Assistant - They are looking for an outgoing and organized individual with the following:  familiarity with Word, Publisher, Google Docs, and QuickBooks; experience using a multi-code copier; organizational skills; and willingness to be a team player.  Duties will include functioning as receptionist, school nurse, and volunteer coordinator.  This is a 1/2 day, 20-hour per week, position from August through May with minimal hours in June and July.  Starting salary is $9-$9.50 per hour.  For more information, contact Karen Miller (Preschool Director).

Community Impact

The After School Academy (ASA) is a new connection with Sharon Elementary and Newburgh Elementary that will connect our church to kids and their families by offering after school tutoring at each school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  By making a personal connection with students in their environment, we will be a tangible expression of God's love and we will have an opportunity to help them have a successful academic experience.  Please contact Carol Holder ( for more information.
