Community Impact Ministry

Community Impact Ministry is designed to help us look beyond the walls of the church to see the needs of people in our community.

Church-School Partnerships

Supporting schools in our community is one way we can show kids, families, and school personnel that they are valued.  The relationships developed provide opportunities for people to experience the love of Jesus and the the hope of the gospel.

We support Sharon and Newburgh Elementary schools in various ways throughout the school year:

  • Snack Drive |  FC families donate snacks and gift cards so teachers can purchase snacks to give to students who don't have them.

  •  Adopt-A-Staff | Teachers and school staff sign up to be "adopted" by a congregation member who commits to pray for and encourage them .

  • Event and Activity Assistance | Volunteers from FC work alongside teachers and school personnel to ensure the success of school events such at the Back-to-School picnic.

Neighborhood Connections

When we choose to intentionally develop relationships with people outside the walls of the church, God is able to use us as a light in our city. Through neighborhood connections, we are able to serve with other organizations to meet the needs of people in our area.

  • Hidden Elms Apartment Complex | We work with the Community Builders at Hidden Elms to provide fun events such as Summer Celebrations and Christmas Parties.

  • Borrowed Hearts | FC families are encouraged to volunteer through church group serve events or on their own.  Volunteer needs at Borrowed Hearts include:  sorting clothes donations, organizing supplies for a back-to-school giveaway, helping Foster families find items they need, and more.

Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM)

FAM is all about supporting and advocating for families. FC members volunteer in various ways to help families who might need some extra support through a wrap-around model of care. Everyone can do something to support a child or family!

Some of the ways we help include:
  • Helping children with homework
  • Providing a meal
  • Lawn care
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • Rides to appointments
